Impression guidelines

Cottonwood labs always prefers to have a full impression for any appliance it makes but understands that it might not always be cost effective for the doctor to take a full arch.

To insure our “Perfect fit Guarantee”.  In order to insure correct duplication of the margins it is important to have an impression tray that extends below the gingival margin creating a proper support structure for the duplicating material.  This is very important when using quadrant trays, as they don’t offer as much support as a full arch. The doctor can use ether a poly vinyl or alginate and get acurate impressions. ( Example of quadrant tray that will extend past the gingival margin)

We also put together this video on how to take poly vinyl impressions, enjoy!
